GIF to JPG, answered
All FAQsIs my GIF file uploaded to convert it?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, on your own device. Your GIF file is not uploaded, and no account is needed.
Will converting GIF to JPG reduce quality?
A little. JPG is lossy, so some detail is traded for a smaller file. On Full quality the difference is hard to see; Balanced and Small shrink the file further. Transparent areas become white, because JPG has no transparency. An animated GIF keeps only its first frame.
What's the difference between GIF and JPG?
GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) is a lossless raster format mostly used for short animations and simple graphics. JPG (JPEG image) is lossy, has no transparency, and is mostly used for photos, email and uploads.
Can I convert many GIF files at once?
Yes. Add up to 50 GIF files at a time. Each converted file uses one of your 3 free conversions, and they are converted one after another in your browser; Download all saves each JPG as its own file. The Filo app is free for life, with no daily limit.
