Does Filo work without internet?
Yes — every tool works 100% offline. An internet connection is only used for showing ads.
Is Filo available on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. Filo is free on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android phones and tablets.
Do I need to create an account to use Filo?

How do I scan a document to PDF with my phone?
Open Filo's scanner, point your camera at the document, and capture. Filo crops and cleans the scan automatically and saves it as a shareable PDF. Multi-page documents are supported.
How do I make a passport photo with my phone?
Open the Passport Photo tool, pick your country's size standard (US 2×2", EU 35×45mm, and many more), take or select a photo, and Filo crops it to the exact official dimensions.
What's the difference between Passport Photo Maker and ID Card Scanner?
Passport Photo Maker crops a photo to official passport and visa size standards for different countries. ID Card Scanner produces a clean digital scan of a physical ID card for storage or sharing.
Can I resize or crop an image to a specific size?
Yes. Use Resize & Crop to set an exact pixel size or aspect ratio — for social media, print, web, or any custom dimension.
PDF tools
How do I merge multiple PDFs into one file?
Open Filo, choose Merge PDF, select the PDFs in the order you want, and tap Merge. The combined document is saved on your device, ready to share or print.
Can I split a PDF into separate files?
Yes. Choose Split PDF, select your file, and split it by page range or into individual single-page files. Each part is saved separately on your device.
How do I compress a PDF so it's small enough to email?
Choose Compress PDF, pick your file, and select a compression level. Filo shrinks the file size while keeping text and images readable.
Can I password-protect a PDF?
Yes. Use Lock PDF to add a password to any file, and Unlock PDF to remove a password from files you have the right to access.
Can I convert a PDF to an editable Word document?
Yes. Choose PDF to Word, select your PDF, and Filo converts it to a DOC/DOCX file you can edit in any word processor. Word to PDF works too.
Can I convert a PowerPoint presentation to PDF?
Yes. Choose PPT to PDF, select your PowerPoint file, and Filo converts it to a PDF you can share or print.
Can I print directly from Filo?
Yes. Open any PDF or image and use Print — Filo sends it to any printer connected to your phone or network, no computer needed.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG on iPhone?
Open Filo, tap Image Converter, select your HEIC photos from the camera roll, choose JPG as the output format, and tap Convert. You can convert one photo or hundreds at once — no internet needed.
Which formats does Filo support?
Images: JPG, JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WEBP, BMP, TIFF, GIF, SVG, EPS. Documents: PDF, Word (DOC/DOCX), and PowerPoint (PPT).
How do I convert JPG to PNG or WEBP?
Open Image Converter, select your JPG photos, choose PNG or WEBP as the output format, and tap Convert. The same flow works for any format combination Filo supports.
Can I convert photos I already have into a PDF?
Yes — open Image to PDF, select one or more photos from your camera roll, arrange them in order, and Filo combines them into a single PDF.
What's the Image Splitter tool for?
Image Splitter cuts one photo into a grid of equal tiles — handy for posting a single image as a multi-panel grid or carousel post.
What is the Image to Base64 / ASCII tool for?
These are developer and hobbyist tools: Base64 encodes an image as text for embedding in code, and ASCII renders a photo as text-character art.
