Document, ID and passport scanning and many other app tools run on your phone with no connection. A few conversions need one; they are listed below.
Your files stay yours.
A cloud app has to receive your file to process it. Filo’s scanners run on your device, so a passport scan made in the app stays on your phone.

Most tools
On your phone
Scanning and most tools run on your phone’s own processor, and many work with no connection. In the app, PDF to Word, PowerPoint, Excel or Text, PowerPoint or Excel to PDF, and background removal on Android use a secure server.

Deleted when the conversion finishes
Word, PowerPoint and Excel layouts need a real rendering engine, so these convert on our server over an encrypted connection, then the file is deleted. No account needed.
